Château de Saint Étienne is a beautiful and spacious house build on the ruins of an old castle owned by the English.
It was originally dated from the 13th century and later rebuilt in two stages during the 17th and 18th century.
The château was one of the main buildings in the old village of Saint-Étienne-de-Ciernat which was fused with Saint-Étienne-du-Bas to the commune of Saint-Gérand-le-Puy in 1832.
The last couple of years it has been renovated to achieve a comfortable and stylish place to live, to work and of course as an attractive place to visit.
